Army of Us is an impartial, not-for-profit organisation focused on helping people and families affected by Rett syndrome and related conditions. Our directors include two parents of girls with Rett syndrome.
Specifically, we have the following aims and objectives:
- Raise the profile and awareness of Rett syndrome and related conditions through websites, social media and other activities.
- Help individuals and organisations maximise their fundraising by helping with fundraising events, providing help with digital and social media strategies, web site design and implementation, as well as merchandise and other activities that improve fundraising.
These funds can be used for an individual's needs, or donated to charities involved with Rett syndrome or related conditions.
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information about Rett syndrome, both for familes and carers dealing with a Rett syndrome or related diagnosis, and for members of the general public.
We do not charge individuals for our services and we do not take a salary or other payments of any kind, nor do we ask parents or individuals involved with Rett syndrome to donate to our organisation. We currently do not claim expenses for any conferences or events that we attend, as individuals or when related to work we do on behalf of Army of Us. Any donations received or income generated is used to further the aims and objectives of Army of Us.
We work with all Rett syndrome charities involved with support and research that share our aims and objectives. We believe that working together is better for the Rett syndrome community. All work is done on a voluntary and first come first served basis.
